For most people, a house is more than just a structure but their pride and joy. #1 Giant Seashell House – Mexico

The seashell house in Mexico City was built in 2006 for a young family, with two children who were simply tired of conventional home. Architect Javier Senosiain of the Arquitectetura Organica designed the unique house. The house designed to look like a snail is beautiful inside and out, and have a spiral staircase and natural plantings that complement the overall house design.

#2 Flintstones Style House – USA

The Flintstone inspired house is owned by television legend, the great Dick Clark. The Malibu home, a single story house with rocky interior resembles the house of Fred and Wilma of the classic ’60 cartoon, the Flintstone’s.

The house, which sits over 22 acres of land and with a property value of $3.5 million, has one bedroom, two bathrooms, and large windows with a view of the sunset and the Valley.

#4 The Pickle Barrel House – Michigan, USA

This is a two-story home, which resemble a barrel. The Pickle Barrel home is located in the Grand Marais, Michigan. The first or main floor of the house is for the living room while the second floor is the bedroom and the smaller barrel, serves as the kitchen.

#5 The Toilet Shaped House – Suwon, South korea

The Toilet house is a two-story home, built by the late mayor of Suwon, Sim Jae-Duck. The weird house is built to mark the 2007 World Toilet Association inaugural. The 4,520 sq feet home is made of concrete, steel, and glass structure, cost $1.1 million. The home boasts of a roof top balcony, staircase and of course equipped with rainwater harvesting system.

The “Round house” located in Connecticut, is one of the unique properties in the city, with a market value of $2.8 million in 2008. The house designed by Richard T. Foster is unlike any other house since this one is 12 feet off the ground and can rotate slowly.

This unusual home sits on four acres of land, the cylindrical house rotate 360 degrees and can be stop or speed up. The average time to complete a rotation is 50 minutes. The 3,000 sq ft house is made of steel, shingles, and glass and last renovated in 2005.
