Easter Sunday is just a few days away have you decided on your Easter dessert? Easter is an important event in many families around the world that celebrate Christ resurrection day. People celebrate easter with great joy and lavish meals, and a good dinner or lunch require an excellent dessert for both adults and kids.
Easter is a special day in my family. When I was a kid my parents always prepare a lavish celebration for family and friends. There are myriad of foods on the table from appetizer to desserts, my favorite. Now that I have a family of my own, I often hosted family gatherings in my place. This year, I am hosting again even though my 3 of my siblings are not in town my parents and I still decided to celebrate easter with a few close friends and relatives. I wanted a dessert that will surely bring a smile to my guest’s faces, so I decided to search the internet for ideas and I am sharing what I have discovered.
Easter Dessert Recipes
Below are some of the easter dessert recipes that you can try that will surely be appreciated by your family and friends.
Light Key Lime Bar Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of all purpose flour
- ½ cup of powdered sugar
- 1 cup of whole wheat flour
- ¾ cup of canola oil
- 1 ½ cups of sugar
- 4 eggs, large
- ¼ cup of fresh lime juice
- 6 tbsp of all purpose flour
- Confectioner’s sugar
- 2 tbsp of grated lime zest
Procedure:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, grease with cooking spray a 9 x 13 inch cake pan.
- Combine the mix flours, canola oil and sugar, mix using a hand held mixer until combined well.
- Press the cake mixture into the prepared pan.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until the crust turned golden brown. Let it cool on the wire cooling rack when done.
For the filling:
- Whisk sugar and eggs together.
- Add the flour, zest and lime juice then stir well.
- Pour the prepared filling over the crust and place in the oven.
- Bake for at least 24 minutes until the top turned golden brown and the filling has set.
- Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes before sprinkling the sugar on top.
- Cut into bite size bars.
- Serve and enjoy.
Layered S’mores Brownies with Peeps
Ingredients:
For the Crust:
- 2 cup of graham crackers
- ½ cup of unsalted melted butter
- For the Brownies
- 1 box of fudge brownie mix
- 20 Peeps
- For the Fudge
- 1 bag of milk chocolate morsels
- 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
Procedure:
- Using a food processor, crushed grahams until fine and then add the butter. Press graham mixture into the bottom of a 13×9 parchment paper lined.
- In a microwavable bowl, heat the milk for at least 1 minute. Add the chocolate morsels and butter then return the bowl to the microwave for 30 seconds more. Stir, when already smooth pour over the graham crust.
- Next, prepare your brownie better just follow the package direction. Pour the batter over the 13×9 fudge layer.
- In a 350 degree oven, bake the brownie for 35-40 minutes. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool a bit. Place the Peeps all over the brownies, remove the parchment paper and sliced.
- Serve and enjoy.

Easter Egg Popsicles
For this easter dessert you don’t need much, just a fruit juice, plastic easter eggs, large nail and thumbtack, plastic sucker sticks and piping tip or small funnel to fill the plastic eggs.

Cookie Butter Popcorn
Ingredients:
- 16 cups of air popped popcorn
- 1 16 oz package of candyquik or Krogers vanilla candy coating
- 3 TB butter cookie
- 1 package of M&M
- ½ cup of colored candy melts
- Sprinkles
Procedure:
- Place your popped popcorn in a large bowl.
- Melt the vanilla candy in the microwave as directed in the package. Add the butter cookie to the melted chocolate, stir to combine well.
- Drizzle some more over the popcorn, stir to coat the popcorn.
- Mix into the bowl the M&M’s and top with sprinkles.
Rainbow Jelly Easter Egg
Ingredients:
- Rainbow Jelly Easter Egg
- Molds
- Cooking spray
- Syringe
Procedure:
- Prepare the jelly according to package direction.
- Spray the inside of the molds with cooking spray.
- Using the syringe, fill the molds with jelly.
- Refrigerate until fully set
- Serve and enjoy
Easter Marshmallow Treats
Ingredients:
- Jelly Beans
- Large Marshmallows
- Food Decorator Pen
- Tooth Picks
- Small Tube (Yellow Icing)
- Tooth Picks
Procedure:
- Get a marshmallow and press a jelly bean in the middle, make sure it sticks.
- Draw wings and eyes to each marshmallow using the pen decorator.
- Add a little bit of frosting to the top, toothpick for legs and other fun decoration.
